Microplastics are just one of the many horrifying assaults on our health that are legalized and ignored/covered-up by governments and their partners in crime in the corporate media. (As one other example, look into toxic vegetable oils/seed oils--they're the real pandemic. I'll make a page like this about them ASAP.)
I'll be making social media content in more digestible bite-size chunks about this, but I'll keep this page updated as an info-dump of any/all info I find about micro-plastics. (Please send me any links or memes I should add via the chat box in the bottom right on censoredshop.com - I'm also happy to take recommendations for merch designs I should make, so let me know if you have a request for some merch that mentions one of these many things)
We have no idea of the long-term health impacts, but it can't be good for you. And the plastics may not ever break down once they're in your body, so the impact on your health is likely irreversible.
I'll try to keep it organized and have solution-oriented content toward the bottom of the list.
Here we go:
- You may be consuming a credit card amount of micro-plastics each week ... The plastic particles make their way into the human food chain from packaging waste, entering the body through sea salt, seafood and even drinking water ... have the ability to change the gut microbiome composition; The changes in the gastrointestinal tract from plastic are linked to metabolic diseases like obesity, diabetes and chronic liver disease; When in the gut, the plastic particles trigger an immune response and activate inflammation ... mounting evidence suggesting that nanoplastics specifically “trigger chemical pathways involved in the formation of cancer.”
- As scientists become more aware of the chemicals that leech out of plastics and make their way into our bodies, they are uncovering a variety of health issues that result. This includes cancer, reproductive issues, immune system suppression, and problems with childhood development just to name a few.
- Microplastics are created when opening plastic packaging, such as cutting through the plastic containing a frozen pizza or other processed foods--which you then ingest or inhale.
- Shocking new research: babies riddled with microplastics, 2022 ... It’s already well known, too, that microplastics are carriers of toxic xenoestrogens, industrial chemicals that have disastrous gender-bending effects. These chemicals are believed to be one of the principal causes of a calamitous decline in fertility that could bring about the end of human reproduction as we know it. By 2045, according to Professor Shanna Swan, the majority of men may no longer be able to reproduce because of the effects of harmful chemicals from a variety of common household sources. “We’re about 40 years behind global warming, in terms of awareness,” she says – yet the threat to human survival is just as great as, if not greater than, our concerns about greenhouse gas emissions.
- Studies have shown microplastics are 10 times higher in the waste of babies to adults, due to them being fed with plastic bottles. And infants and children are more vulnerable to such exposure

- Some 80 chemicals off-gas from plastic bags and other plastic food storage containers onto your food; chemicals include allergens, hormone disruptors/estrogen mimickers that affect reproductive health. (So use aluminum foil or paper products instead.)
- Don't fall for the BS marketing scam of "BPA free" that tries to make you think those plastics are safe. BPA-free doesn't mean much of anything, as the replacements they use are toxic too. So avoid all plastic as much as you can

- ^ Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more durable. They're in hundreds of products, such as plastic packaging, vinyl flooring, lubricating oils, and personal-care products (soaps, shampoos, hair sprays). ... People are exposed to phthalates by eating and drinking foods that have contacted products containing phthalates. Some exposure can occur from breathing phthalate particles in the air. Children crawl around and touch many things, then put their hands in their mouths.

- Microplastic pollution is so tiny and lightweight that they float around in the air and get inhaled. Face masks don't filter them out either--they actually contribute to the microplastics problem. (And mask mandates are completely useless against covid19). Listen to the science and never again comply with wearing one
- Microplastic pollution has already got totally out of hand and will have serious effects for years to come, even if we begin to introduce measures to curb it right away. Microplastics have been found everywhere--even in the most remote areas of nature like the 'pristine' Pyrenees mountains--and then there's the Great Pacific Garbage Patch of huge piles of plastic trash in the ocean. If only the federal government hadn't unconstitutionally banned hemp and marijuana, we may have never gotten to this point--one of the innumerable things that hemp can be used to make is a natural and biodegradable plastic (Amazon affiliate link to Jack Herer's book)
- Since we inhale microplastics that are in the air, you'll want to consider buying an air purifier (or several) for your home. Here is an Amazon affiliate link to the Coway air purifier I have--you just need to change the HEPA filter once a year, and if you have pets you'll want to regularly clean out the pet hair that will accumulate on the filters.
- Apparently the only water-filtration system that filters out things as small as micro-plastics is a reverse osmosis system. There are under-the-sink filters that filter the water as it comes out of your faucet, as well as counter-top filters that you have to fill up manually. Here is an affiliate link to some systems you can get on Amazon
