Health Benefits of Garlic Cures: A Natural Antibiotic and Superfood

Health Benefits of Garlic

Garlic (Allium sativum L.) has been widely used as medicine for thousands of years.

There are many benefits of eating garlic--and surely ones we haven't even discovered yet.

Some have probably been lost to time--likely with the help of suppression by Big-Pharma.

Garlic Natural Antibiotic

Garlic is a natural antibiotic. It contains a compound called allicin.

Apparently the antibiotic compound is activated when you chop/crush the garlic--and it gets stronger if you let it sit for a bit.

Garlic for Cold

Life hack: as soon as you feel symptoms of the common cold coming on, eat some raw garlic. It may sound crazy--I thought so at first.

Multiple times I've been certain I was doomed to suffer through a cold--but after eating garlic I have avoided it almost every time. (I'm pretty sure the only time it didn't work is when I waited too long to eat some.)

Garlic Health Benefits: Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death globally--and on the rise--but research has found garlic can help with that too.

Garlic for Cancer Prevention

Research has even shown garlic decreases risk of cancer. See studies here and here.

Other Health Benefits of Eating Garlic

Studies have shown garlic can even anti-tumor and anti-microbial effects--and even anti-diabetic, anti-obesity ones too.

So do yourself a favor and get a true booster for your health--and eat one of the best superfoods there is.

But some important buying advice:

1) Don't buy Chinese garlic--it is often bleached, grown in sewer water, and peeled by prisoners.

2) As with everything, I'd buy organic--to avoid glyphosate and other toxic chemicals in herbicides like Roundup (see our blog for how bad it is for you)

Here's an Amazon affiliate link to organic garlic--we make about a 4% commission on whatever you end up buying after using our link. That could really add up if you share this blog--it'd be greatly appreciated!
